Τάσος Γεωργόπουλος

Tasos Georgopoulos was born in 1973. He is a graduate of the School of Production Engineering and Management of the Technical University of Crete, and he has completed post-graduate studies and has work experience as mechanical engineer. At the same time, he has completed studies at Composition/Instrumentation (Traditional music, Jazz, Folk music) while he can play the Lavta, the Guitar, Abrasives, the Double Bass and the Cretan Lyre. His projects and his discography include the CDs "Chameno Nisi (Lost Island)" (LYRA), "Chartaetos (Kite)" (with the participation of musicians from Greece, Italy, Turkey and Spain), "REBELETIKO" - Monastiraki (with traditional musical forms and idioms from the whole of Greece), as well as his participation in "La Rockola" Vol. 6 (with music from all around the world), "RED Vol. 1" and "Stou Tragoudiou tin Ochthi - 10" (LYRA). He has worked with accomplished artists such as Joss Stone, Tonino Carotone, Mario, H. Katsimihas, Dilek Koc, Argyris Bakirtzis and the Takim. At the same time, he has also written the theatrical play "Equilibrista" and has published two pieces of prose "Karagiozis' dream" and "The Elephant and the Duck".
