Faleh Khaless

Faleh Khaless is a Moroccan composer and Oud master. He was born in Agadir and grew up in Tunisia, where he studied music in the High Institute of Music of Sfax. He received a Bachelor's degree in Arts and musical sciences & Oud interpretation and a Master's degree in musical sciences. Currently, he is working on his PhD in Musicology research. His compositions have roots in the musical traditions of the Arab-Andalusian music and are influenced from the jazz scene, introducing Oud in different musical styles. Apart from Tunisia, he has performed in Algeria, France, Greece, and Germany and collaborated with many notable musicians in several international festivals. He is performing in several projects: "Medfusion Orchester", "Nadia Khaless Trio", "Hayastan Dance", "Trio Santiago ". His first album, "Meeting Points", was released in July 2015 with "Trio Santiago" and he takes part in many CD recordings and has composed the music of several documentaries and more than 300 short films.
